wonderful 4 year old standardbred mare that is looking for a great forever family. Dottie has a very adaptable personality, she quickly took to going out with our boarder herd of mares and geldings. She is 15 hands, and still filling out around her middle. She has a very gentle nature and great manners. She has been working with a wonderful volunteer at our farm under English saddle. She is now trotting! She raced as a two and three year old in Massachusetts and Maine as a pacer. She was not very interested or competitive, that is why she was retired at the end of her 3 year season. She is excellent for a farrier, and is up to date on her vaccines. She has also had regular floats and dental work. She wants to learn and be trained. She is located in Billericia, MA Asking $500 .Please feel free to contact for more pictures and to answer any questions. pumpknxoxo@aol.com

Dash is a sweet 15.3 hand 4 yr old standardbred filly that is looking for her match. She has good ground manners and will stand well on the cross ties. She is very used to having her feet trimmed regularly. She wore shoes while racing but when off the track gets bare foot trims every six weeks. Dash also has had regular vet care and dental care throughout her life. Dash did race in Massachusetts and Maine when she was two and three years old as a pacer. She has a wide barrel and has filled out nicely for her age. She has been under saddle, but needs more work and a forever family to love her. Located in Billerica, MA Asking $500. Hurricane Signs
or as he is affectionately called, Si or Signer, is a retired standardbred pacer who is almost 20 years old. Because he grew up in the racing world, he is well behaved for farriers, dentists, vets, and trailering. Si’s last racing trainer retired him at fourteen because of a bowed tendon (which was medically treated), so that he would be sound. She knew that he would have a great retirement as a riding or driving horse. He was taken from the track and trained to ride (English) under saddle. He is intelligent so he took to it very quickly and became an excellent trail horse. He was trained not to pace, but instead to walk, trot, canter and gallop. Never spooky, great stamina and forward, he is athletic and responsive to cues. Si has been away on a free lease for the last year and a half and has just come back. He had some minor health issues and is currently low on weight, but is now eating well and gaining. He is up to date on shots, feet, and teeth. I am currently looking to place him as a free lease with or without an option to buy. All of that is negotiable with the right placement. Y-City Jet, aka Jet
11 year old retired pacer. He is a rarer grey Standardbred. I rescued him in February. He came to me underweight. I taped him at 15.2hh and he weighs approx. 900lbs at this point (he's gained 70lbs so far). We're still working on building muscle.

Jet has "sassitude" and will test his boundaries. But, with a good leader, he learns quickly what is acceptable and what is not. He has his sweet moments and is learning about being a pet versus a racehorse. He was under saddle in previous homes. I sent him for 30 days of classical horsemanship training in May. We spent time doing a lot of groundwork in order to develop straightness and strengthen his top line. He's is incredibly smart, tries hard and has a good work ethic. He really does better overall with a regular "job" and would probably do best with someone who can work/ride him regularly. I have 4, so it's hard for me to dedicate enough time to him. I took him on the trail a couple of times. He does great following but needs some work on his confidence for leading and/or going out alone. On the ground he's pretty unflappable, just needs more miles under saddle. I would not recommend him for a beginner. He should have a confident intermediate + rider for the reasons I have just stated. While he seems the type to come along quickly, he's not yet a "husband" horse.

As to be expected of a seasoned racehorse, he trailers well and has good ground manners. He's mostly patient in crossties and is good for the farrier. Currently barefoot. He bathes. He was also decent for the dentist but I would suggest tranquilizers next time (he was a little dramatic). He is UTD on dental care (3/2014), farrier care (6/16/2014) and veterinary care (6/16/2014 he had an exam, Coggins draw and his rabies shot). I have had him adjusted twice and acupunctured once to make sure he's comfortable and happy.

He gets along well with my boys. He is the low man. He's a clown and enjoys playing face tag, acting like a yearling and rolling. It's the first thing he does when coming into his stall or going outside.

I'm not interested in dumping him off, but would like to find an appropriate home for him. I take his rescue seriously and have him enrolled in Full Circle. Due to my time constraints, I really need something that is "hop-on-and-go" after sitting for long periods of time. That being said, if the right home doesn't come along, Jet will stay here.

Asking $750 adoption fee. May be negotiable to the proper home. Adoption application and contract apply. He will come with his winter blanket, rain sheet and fly mask.

Located in Marion. Contact Alyssa at alyssahedges@gmail.com for more details

Ty Guy
At age 14, Ty is required to retire and his owners are earger for him to go to a good home. He is 15.3h, bay, gelding, sound, and has no markings, but very handsome dapples. Very showy! His retraining began the day he arrived at his foster home and he immediately demonstrated his willingness to learn and good manners. He was presented at the World of Horses at the Cumberland Fair in Sept., where he was shown in hand complete with sparkly accessories. The crowd loved him! Ty has been on several trail rides, including one with sensory challenges, and recently proved himself hooked to a cart. View more pictures in the slide show below.
